| Safety First
Paintball is one of the safest sports in the world.
The
reason for this is that players must wear the proper protection at all
times and must adjust their paint markers so that the paintball will
not cause severe pain on impact.
Statistics show that paintball
is one of the safest fun activities around. Insurance statistics have
shown that Paintball is safer than golf, jogging, tennis, swimming and
many other sports.
All games are supervised and controlled by
fully trained, professional referees. The priority for our referees is
safety, and to do that effectively there is NO compromise on rules or
standards.
We have everything you need to have a great day…..safely!
WHAT IS A PAINTBALL?
A
paintball is a round, thin-skinned, dye-filled gelatin capsule that is
the size of a child's marble. Paintballs are very similar to a large
capsule or bath oil bead. The paintball is filled with harmless
non-toxic, water soluble, non-caustic, bio-degradable vegetable dye
that comes in a wide variety of colours. When a paintball hits a
player, the thin gelatin skin breaks open and the liquid inside leaves
a "splat mark" on the player's clothes signifying his or her
"elimination".
PAINTBALL MARKERS
We supply two types of markers that we suggest you request when booking:
1. Pump Action Each time you pump, the marker selects 1 paintball and is ready to fire on request.
2. Semi Auto After the first loading the marker loads a paintball and
upon each squeeze of the trigger the marker will automatically select
another paintball to fire.
If you wish to bring your own marker
there is no problem. However, due to our high safety standards your
marker could be subjected to testing, and if not conforming, may need
to be adjusted prior to approval of use.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
We suggest that you wear outdoor, comfortable footwear (sport/hiking style). You can bring your own clothing or we will supply either pants & shirts or overalls. We also supply all other protective equipment as required.
