Game Scenarios

The following are only suggested scenarios and it is up to one's own imagination as to the end results. It is your day, change the game play to suite what you want as long as Safety is not comprimised.

Tag 1.
Two teams start from opposing ends and the aim is to tag all the other teams members. Last person not tagged is the winning team.

Capture the flag
Two teams are at opposite ends of the field. A central flag is placed centre of field and the object is for a team to capture the flag and convey it to the opposite end of the field, or return with the flag to the end that the team commenced.

3 flags.
A central flag and a team flag is placed at either end of the field.  The team aim is to capture the centre flag whilst protecting your team flag and either convey the centre flag to the opposing end or return to your commencement position.

Tag 2
Two teams.  A team secrets themselves within the field.  The other team, upon the referee signal, enters the field and each team attempts to tag the opposition.

The President
A team or both teams have a leader (The President) who is protected by the team and must travel from one end of the field to the other without being tagged.

No Tag
All members are given time to locate themselves within the field.  Upon the umpire's signal it is every member for themselves.  Last person not tagged is the winner.

A variation to the above games if desired to extend the length of playtime is for each team to nominate a medic who must attend and physically touch the tagged person who can then resume in the game.  If the medic is tagged then they must leave the field by the shortest route, return to the commencement place and start again.  A game time should be nominated.

Further suggestions

  • Each field be played twice and teams change ends.
  • Time limits are placed on games.
  • Fast fields 10 - 20 minutes, slower fields 15 - 30 minutes.
  • Fields running east west are played first so the sun does not affect vision.

As stated earlier, these are only hints to assist you. It is your day so you let the referee know how you want to play.
