Why Play Paintball?

The non-contact sport of Paintball is played in over 40 countries
by millions of men and women of all ages and lifestyles.

In Paintball, men and women compete equally and age is not dominated by youth.  Physical strength and size are not as important as intelligence and determination.  Whether they're homemakers, professionals or retirees, all Paintballers share a love for fun, adventure, and a strong competitive spirit.

Being able to think quickly and decisively is what makes you a star.  Paintball is as fast and furious a sport as the player wishes it to be.  It is played on both a social and a serious level by a large number of people around the world.  It is one of the fastest growing sports on the planet, and when you play your first game you will see why!

Paintball combines the fun of childhood games
like "tag" and "hide and seek"
but it is much more challenging.

The number of players on each team varies from five upwards.
The most common game played is when the players are divided into 2 teams and the objective is to eliminate the opposing team.
Another scenario the players are divided into two teams to play "Capture the Flag". Alternately, players go out and capture the other team's flag while protecting their own.  You win the game either by capturing your opponent's flag and bringing it back to your original "base", or by taking your flag through the opposition's area and reaching their "base".  While you are trying to capture a flag, you also try to "eliminate" opposing players by tagging them with a gelatin-cased pellet (about 1.5cm diameter) expelled from a special paintgun.  On impact the paintballs break open releasing brightly coloured vegetable dye.  When you have been tagged you raise your paintgun above your head, call "Tag" and walk from the field.

Games normally run for 10 to 20 minutes depending on group and field size.  Between games, players take a break to check equipment, plan the next game, and recount the thrills and hilarious stories of the game.

Win or lose, everyone has a good time and there's always the next game waiting for you.
